Wine Review: Chateau le Coin is a classic Bordeaux blend of soft, plummy Merlot, firm Cabernet Sauvignon, and spicy Cabernet Franc, it’s made for enjoying with food, and boasts a freshness that’ll have you coming back for a second glass. Look forward to bright aromas of bramble fruit, dark plum and baking spices. On the palate, ripe black fruit and touches of vanilla and clove continue to please through the smooth, elegant finish. - Oak&Barrel

Wine Folly: Bordeaux is a red blend that’s dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, along with several other grape varieties native to the Bordeaux region of France. It is very dry and has primary flavors of Black Currant, Black Cherry, Graphite, Chocolate, and Dried Herbs with a full body, high tannins, and medium acidity. Merlot is very dry and has primary flavors of cherry, plum, chocolate, bay leaf, and vanilla with a medium-full body, medium-high tannins, and medium acidity. (https://winefolly.com/grapes/merlot/) Cabernet Sauvignon is dry and has primary flavors of black cherry, black currant, cedar, baking spices, and graphite with a full body, medium-high tannins, and medium acidity. (https://winefolly.com/grapes/cabernet-sauvignon/) Cabernet Franc is dry and has primary flavors of strawberry, raspberry, bell peppers, crushed gravel, and chili peppers with a medium body, medium-high tannins, and medium-high acidity. My review: Not my favorite wine, as I am not the biggest fan of high tannin wines, but could definitely see it pairing well with a rich, meaty meal. The wine lingers after taking a sip and I got notes of blackberries (deep dark berry flavor), spice (not peppery but more like cinnamon/nutmeg spice), and a kind of woody flavor. I personally don't think I would purchase this wine again; however, I definitely should have taken the advice to decant the wine 30 minutes prior to drinking it as that may have made it more pleasant of a drink for me (upon looking it up I found out decanting increases the wines aroma from natural fruits and softens the taste of tannins which I feel would definitely improve the drinking experience.

I tasted this on its own with no food.
